As you may well have noticed, I've been asking people to keep an eye open for discarded gumboots, Drizabone coats and Akubra hats for the children taking part in our upcoming program, to wear.
Recently I spoke to Elaine at the “Lion’s Den", one of our local Op Shops. Elaine, Christine, and Katie (a close friend of my mother’s), along with other thoughtful members have put together a parcel of useful items that will, I’m sure save the day over
the coming months.
Calling in to pick up the parcel was a total delight. The ladies were working diligently in the background making sure the "Lion’s Den” was full of opportunities for all to browse.
Elaine and Christine have taken the time to have a look at Gill’s website. I feel it has touched their hearts, I could see by the look on their faces as we spoke of Gill, her program and upcoming fundraising events. These valuable links in the community will enable Gill’s program to not only prosper, but to also build a closeness with people that both my mother and Gill would love to have been part of.
All at Gillian’s Rainbow Bridge would like to say how thankful and appreciative we are of the kindness the members of the "Lion’s Den” has shown Gillian’s Rainbow Bridge.
If you are in Healesville, and have a spare minute of two, be sure to drop in to the ‘Lion’s Den’, make a purchase, and support this wonderful community focused Op Shop.
