Ken, his son Tim and their co-worker Brett arrived early one mid-January morning to do the brick floor. The men were into action from the minute they arrived, firstly levelling the floor, then laying over two thousand old red bricks, some needing exact cutting- making the completed floor look amazing. Ken said, ‘old reds always look terrific’, and we all agree.
I have to mention that there is barely an activity here at the farm that Melone, our adorable, wacky dog, doesn’t get himself involved in. He loves a pat, a sniff and if he can, a treat from someone. He is a bit like those pictures where you see if you can find the hidden object, kids see if you can find Melone in these pictures.
We all thank these hard working, skilled men for doing such a great job and we know their work will be the back bone of our activity room. Ken has kindly given us a huge discount on this job which will enable us to afford extra things that we would normally have gone without. Ken is one of those special people, that like Gill, should be admired and copied over and over and over again.
Time has moved along quickly and now in late April you can hear the sound of replica watches uk happy, busy voices echoing through the room-the enthusiastic children are learning how to care for farm animals and make delightful art objects to take home. I’m sure the old red brick floor will hear many a tale as the years go by.
Thank-you again Ken.
